Resize Multiple Images
If you want to create a slideshow or place a number of pictures on your first class web site, it is recommended that you resize them to no more than 300 pixels in width and 20-30 kb in file size. If you have many pictures you can process them all at once which will save a lot of time!
Using Photoshop Elements
1. Place all pictures in a folder (either in your documents or on your desktop).
2. Open the application Adobe Photoshop Elements.
3. Click on File>BatchProcessing
4. Leave Files to convert set at "Folder"
5. Choose your files to convert by clicking on "Source"
6. Browse to the folder where all the images are, select the folder, and click OK.
7. Choose "Convert File Type": JPEG LOW QUALITY
8. Select "Convert Image Size" by checking the box.
9. Enter the width as 300 and the Resolution as 72dpi. (leave height blank)
10. Unless you want to rename the files leave the Rename Files box unchecked.
11. Choose a destination. NOTE: You can choose the same folder but this means your original pictures will be overwritten. I recommend you create a folder in your original folder and place your smaller images in there.
12. Click OK
