The students and staff in the district are taking
opportunities when they see them to incorporate earth friendly activities whenever
possible. The District does “Zero Sort” recycling, encourages the use of
re-fill-able water bottles with the H2O2Go initiative that are filled from the new
water bottle filling stations that have been installed at each school, the gardening
programs at Mount Lebanon and Hanover Street Schools, and the food composting
at LHS. Even the LHS prom is going “green” this year! This year’s prom will
feature h and crafted decorations and invitations made from recycled paper
and ribbons. |
