SAU #88 Selects New
After a yearlong search and lengthy interview
process, veteran Principal Eloise Ginty has been selected as the new leader for
the PreK through Grade 4 Mount Lebanon Elementary School in West Lebanon, New
Hampshire. Ms. Ginty currently serves as the Principal at the Castleton
Elementary School, in Castleton Vermont, where she has lead the school for four
years. She brings to Mount Lebanon six years’ total experience as a Principal
and many years as a classroom elementary school teacher. The search committee
felt that her experiences have prepared her well for both the rewards and
challenges she may face as a Principal here in the Lebanon School District. Her
firm belief in student success makes her an “ideal Principal for us” states Dr.
Gail E. Paludi, Superintendent of SAU #88. Ms. Ginty’s experience with the new
Common Core Standards and Professional Learning Communities also makes her and
excellent choice for Mount Lebanon School. As an adjunct professor at Southern
New Hampshire University, Ms. Ginty taught a course titled, “The Dimensions of
Assessment and Evaluation”. This course helped teachers to understand the
importance of purposeful formative assessment and provided opportunities for
them to apply this immediately to their practice and then get feedback.
Ms. Ginty is very familiar with the
Upper Valley having worked in education in Fairlee, Norwich, Strafford and
Thetford, Vermont as well as Cornish and Hanover, New Hampshire schools. She is
a resident of East Thetford Vermont.
School year 2013-14, Mount Lebanon
Elementary School has had Mary Estee, as Interim Principal at the helm.
